Project Title: Isis I

Description: A biohybrid modular soft robotic module that replicates chromatophores muscles found on squids.

Abstract: To create possible relief for pain and injuries caused by contractions, concussions, and different muscle damage and reactions around various parts of the body, the Isis I project relates to the idea of creating a modular device that could be replicated around patients' pain spots in different scales, as a generative system to relief muscular pain by applying force, as the ancient tradition of massage. This project was inspired by the pain felt during the process of living with TMJ disorder and guided to create a prosthesis to help support and assist pain around the jaw area.
